Survey of Potable Water in Anaba - Panjshir

September 2023 - Ongoing | Panjshir Province

On September 8, 2023, IIRD launched a comprehensive initiative focused on improving access to potable water for residents of the Anaba region in Panjshir. This project reflects IIRD's strong commitment to sustainable development and making lasting, positive impacts in underserved communities.

The project began with the systematic collection of detailed data regarding water accessibility across the region. Active participation from local residents was encouraged to ensure a deep understanding of community needs. In parallel, engineering assessments were conducted to verify the feasibility and sustainability of proposed interventions.

Initial findings identified critical areas lacking access to safe potable water, highlighting the urgent need for significant improvements in water supply and sanitation infrastructure. The study also revealed strong demand for sustainable water management solutions and emphasized the importance of prioritizing new resource development and infrastructure investment.
